LePage Meets With Democrats For The First Time Since November Election

3

Augusta - Nearly three months after November's election, Governor LePage has finally met with Democratic leaders.

According to spokespersons from both the governor's office and the Senate Democratic Office, Governor LePage met with Senate President Justin Alfond and Speaker of the House, Mark Eves, as well as Republican leaders Ken Fredette and Mike Thibodeau.

We're told education and workforce issues were discussed and that the meeting went well.

LePage spokesperson Adrienne Bennett described the hour long meeting as a "pleasant conversation."

LePage will give his State of the State address to a Democratic majority House and Senate Tuesday night.
