Bangor -
Instructors from the Maine Army National Guard held classes at the new 240th Regional Training Institute in Bangor on Saturday.
The students, members of the Maine Air National Guard and Navy Reserve, learned carpentry and public affairs skills.
It's the first time teaching a true multi-service "Joint" training for the instructors.
Comdt. James Tash said, "They can be part of their units and be doing training, but also have the camera, taking notes, and getting it out to the public as to what we're doing drill week, what the tax payers are getting for their money."
The pre-warrior leaders course is designed to better prepare them for the next step in their professional education process.
