Bundle up, Maine. Looks like we're in for 6 more weeks of winter, according to the groundhog, Dirigo Dug.
Dug saw his shadow at Dirigo Pines Saturday morning.
Resident's at the retirement community said they look forward to the event each year.
They also add that Dug is one of the best groundhogs around.
The "Mayor" of Dirigo Pines, William Bartlett said "They've been perfect 100% every year. We've hit it every year right on the nose."
Mean while Punxsutawney Phil did not see his shadow this year, predicting an early spring.
However, Residents said Dug's predictions are slightly more accurate than his Pennsylvania counterpart.
