Winthrop -
A man from Winthrop is in jail, accused of threatening to kill his roommates with a machete.
20-year-old Nicolas Rolling is charged with terrorizing with a dangerous weapon and criminal restraint with a dangerous weapon.
The Winthrop police chief says officers responded to a 911 call from people inside Rolling's home early this morning.
They told police they were being held hostage.
Rolling accused his two roommates of stealing money from him.
He allegedly swung the machete at one of them and punched the other one in the face.
Rolling appeared in court Friday where a judge set bail at $10,000.
