Augusta -
A Seattle man accused of murdering a woman in Augusta nearly four decades ago pleaded not-guilty in an Augusta courtroom Thursday morning.
63-year-old Gary Raub is accused of fatally stabbing 70-year-old Blanche Kimball.
Her body was found inside her Augusta home in June of 1976.
According to court documents, an undercover Seattle detective convinced Raub to take part in a fake chewing gum survey.
Police used the chewing gum to link his DNA to the cold case.
Raub, known in 1976 as Gary Wilson, rented a room from Kimball and was interviewed after her killing but police say there wasn't enough evidence to charge him back then.
Raub is being held without bail in the Kennebec County Jail.
