Roof Blown Off Old Town Business

Old Town - Gusty winds Thursday morning blew the metal roof off of General Rental Center on Center Street in Old Town.

It happened at 6 a.m. No one was in the business at the time.

A neighbor called the owner and let him know what happened.

Vice President of the General Rental Center, Troy Greenleaf said "I came in and found about a 30x30 piece of the roof in the yard here. It hit against the telephone pole. We're lucky no one was here. The pole stopped it from going into the road and it didn't break the pole."

General Rental Center is open for business and there was no damage to the inside of the building.

This is why we DO NOT RECOMMEND metal roofing. What is better? to loose a shingle or two, Or the whole thing as seen in this story?
