The U.S. Postal Service is hiring.
The service is looking to add 200 new positions in New England over the next few weeks.
Applications for Assistant Carrier Positions will be accepted Wednesday through Sunday on USPS.com/employment.
Postal Service Spokesman Tom Rizzo said the company is hiring because many mail carriers are coming close to retirement.
And even though there is decline in mail volume, Rizzo said there is an increase in delivery locations.
