Old Town -
A single family home in Old Town is uninhabitable after an electrical fire Saturday night.
John Kokoska of the Old Town Fire Department said crews responded to a fire call on Bennoch Road around 9:45 pm.
Firefighters from Old Town, Orono, Milford, Alton, and Bangor were on scene until early Sunday morning fighting the flames. They were tough to get at because the home has a metal roof over a wooden roof. We're told the freezing temperatures also made their job more difficult.
Kokoska said crews returned to the scene later Sunday morning because there was still smoke coming from the structure.
Kokoska said the home is still standing, but has heavy damage. He said fire crews were able to salvage a lot of belongings from inside.
We're told no one was hurt.
