Maine Honors Martin Luther King Jr.

Augusta - Governor Paul LePage has proclaimed Monday, January 21st, Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service for the state of Maine.

He's encouraging Mainers to remember the life and work of a man who fought for civil rights, not only on Monday, but throughout the year.

Senator Angus King will also be honoring the doctor's legacy.

He'll be traveling from Waterville to Portland for various events celebrate Martin Luther King Jr.'s life.

The 27th Annual Martin Luther King, Jr. Day community breakfast from 7:30-9:00AM at Spectrum Generations Muskie Center, Gold Street, Waterville.

Farmington's Martin Luther King, Jr. Day Service at Trinity United Methodist Church on Monday, January 21st at 12:00PM

NAACP's 32nd Annual Martin Luther King, Jr. Breakfast Celebration, beginning at 8:00AM, at the Holiday Inn by the Bay, Portland.

Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Celebration Breakfast at the First Parish Unitarian Universalist Church of Kennebunk, beginning at 8:30AM.
