UMaine Hockey Team Remains Winless At Home With Loss To Merrimack

3

Orono - The UMaine hockey team taking on Merrimack in the second of a two-game series.

In the second period, the Black Bears were down 2-0, trying to get something going. Joey Diamond goes in all alone shorthanded and beats Sam Marotta to put Maine on the board. It was 2-1 after two.

In the third, same score and Maine desperately trying to keep Merrimack off the scoreboard. It's Rhett Bly who beats Marty Ouellette to give the Warriors a deflating two-goal lead.

Maine would keep fighting though. Late third, it's the Black Bear leading goal scorer, Connor Leen who scores to make it 3-2. But that would be all tonight. UMaine loses to Merrimack, 3-2 the final. They're now 0-8-3 at home this year.
