A Carmel man has been arrested for assaulting a child.
Bangor Police said Scott Peavey, 30, was arrested after a witness saw him striking a toddler outside of St. Joseph hospital on Friday.
The child was treated and released from Eastern Maine Medical Center.
Anyone who has information is urged to contact the Bangor Police Department at 947-7382.
