Orono -
The Black Bears looking for that elusive first win of the season at Alfond Arena.
Second period, Marty Ouellette gets beat for the only Warrior goal of the game. That was scored by Dan Kolomatis, and Merrimack taking the 1-0 lead.
Maine had its chance though. Later in the second, Mark Anthoine goes in one-on-one, deaks the defender, but Sam Marotta gets a piece of it
to keep it 1-0.
As usual with these teams, things got chippy! Brendan Ellis with a chance in front, but it doesn't go in, and a little activity after the whistle.
Maine's toughness would show on the scoreboard though. In the third period, Kyle Beattie goes in on the power play, throws it in front, and it goes off a defender and in. Maine ties it at one. The teams skating to a 1-1 tie.
