Bangor -
Artists from all over the country are hanging up their artwork in Bangor.
Each piece of artwork tells a story from humor to heartbreak.
Michael Crouser is an artist from Minnesota, but at the University of Maine Museum of Art, he's combining his love of animals and photography.
"I really wanted to show the intensity and the unexpected visuals of the intensity of dogs at play," said Crouser.
Many of these dogs are leash free in a New York City dog park releasing their energy in his photographs entitled "Dog Run." "These are urban dogs having a good time," said the artist.
The Minnesota native hopes a new Bangor location will help inspire people to check out his work. "Maybe the proponents of the new dog park will come in and get some ideas for their own photographs for their dogs," said Crouser.
While one man's artwork was a walk in the park another artist from Florida told his story of a family tragedy.
"This set of drawings was based on a family tragedy that we had. I lost my nephew in Afghanistan," said Robert Rivers, artist of "The Promise Land."
Rivers said the putting his personal artwork on display has been part of his heeling process.
Both Rivers and Crouser's art will be on display at the museum through March 20th.
