A state senator wants to increase tax on incomes of more than $250,000.
Senator Tom Saviello of Wilton wants to return the tax to 8.5%.
That was the tax rate until 2011 when lawmakers scaled it back to 7.95%.
Tax bills have to be introduced in the house, so Saviello has to find a house member to submit the measure.
