Lamoine -
Town leaders in Lamoine have been given more time to come up with a plan to withdraw from RSU 24.
The Department of Education recently extended the deadline from January 6th to April 6th.
The withdrawal committee updated town selectman on the process Thursday night.
The committee chair says if a plan is agreed upon by April 6th, it will be sent to the Education Commissioner, who'll then decide if it's ready for a town vote.
Ellsworth and Hancock are also working on their own plans to withdraw from RSU 24.
