A convicted sex offender who spent almost 15 years in prison for gross sexual assault is in trouble again.
Jeffrey Smith, 46, pleaded not guilty to possessing sexually explicit materials of young children.
Smith reportedly had material of a child under 12 engaging in sexual conduct.
His bail was set at $1,000 and he cannot use a computer.
In 1994, Smith was convicted of gross sexual assault in Androscoggin County Superior Court.
