Ever wanted to take a trip to space?
You can...with a trip to Orono.
The Maynard F. Jordan Planetarium is presenting several shows this winter, highlighting the many wonders of the final frontier.
There are Friday night shows as well as Sunday afternoons.
In February, the University of Maine facility will feature Black Holes.
"And all of these programs include an Omni-dome type of media presentation, which is our new system that puts video on an entire dome, just like an Omni-max theater," says Alan Davenport, director of the Jordan Planetarium.
"Our Sky Family" will be shown Sunday, January 20th and 27th at 2 p.m.
"Ice Worlds" can be seen Friday nights at 7 p.m. for the rest of January.
