Bangor -
Kerri Poulin of New Portland is planning a big wedding. She's the youngest of ten and her fiancé has a big family too.
"It's been kind of stressful. I've already got our DJ, but that's about it," said Poulin.
Most of the planning is her responsibility, because her fiancé is working on a different kind of mission.
"He's currently deployed in Afghanistan."
So Poulin brought friends, co-workers and family to the Bangor Bridal Show on Sunday to help her out.
The bridal show is packed with wedding professionals. It's designed to be a one-stop shop for brides who still have a lot on their to-do lists.
"They have no idea what they're doing or how to start and they really do get relaxed. They come in and they say, 'Oh well, we can go around and get all these great ideas,'" said Joan Montgomery, Owner of Maine Wedding Association.
Poulin looked at dress boutiques, she got her hair done, and she made sure to have some fun with the girls along the way.
After making the rounds, she had a bag full of brochures and information to look through.
"I got a lot of good ideas. I took pictures on my phone of some stuff that I liked," said Poulin.
She still has plenty of time. Her wedding isn't until October 2014. But if the pin she wears on all of her clothes is any indication, there's another date she's looking forward to as well.
She said, "I can't wait. I just can't wait for him to come home."
