The Maine State Warden Service responded to three snowmobile accidents early Sunday morning. Authorities said speed is a factor in all three cases.

The first accident happened around 12:00 am Sunday Morning. Wardens said Jason Pillsbury, 28 from Strong, rolled his Toyota Tacoma on Airport Road. Soon after, John Morris, 37 from Eustis, was snowmobiling on the road and hit Pillsbury's Tacoma. Morris was first treated at Franklin Memorial Hospital in Farmington, but was later taken to Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston with serious injuries.

At 1:30 am Sunday, Wardens were called to the scene of a single snowmobile accident on Sokokis Lake in Limerick. Wardens said John Ferguson, 50, from Limerick crashed into the shoreline near Philpot's Landing and was ejected. He was transported to Maine Medical Center in Portland with serious injuries. This accident remains under investigation.

Then at 2:00 Sunday Morning, State Wardens were investigating a snowmobile accident in China. The driver, David Willard, 25, of Oakland and his passenger, Kenneth Cormier, 47, hit a mound near Stanley Hill Road. They were both ejected and taken to Maine General Hospital in Waterville with moderate injuries.

The Maine Warden Servies stresses that drivers should use caution while operating at night time. They said traveling at high speeds does not allow enough time for proper reaction time.
