A Newport Restaurant is giving people a shot at a free dinner.
Anglers Restaurant is to finding a way to give back to the community. They are giving schools a $100 gift card to start a fundraiser.
High schools are selling raffle tickets at varsity basketball games and the lucky winner gets three chances to make a half court shot.
General Manager of Anglers restaurant, Ryan Nickerson said "If they make it they win $100 to our restaurant. If they don't it goes to the next game. It's something to give back to the community. Help the booster or school organization raise money throughout the school year."
Lindsay Burton of Dexter and Dale Hustus of Searsport are just two of the six people who have made the shot so far this season.
The general manager said he wants to help even more schools next year.
