Orono -
There's a gaming convention coming to town.
It's the 5th annual SnowCon event; a weekend of face-to-face tabletop gaming.
The event draws nearly 200 game enthusiasts each year for traditional board games, without the use of electronics.
Organizers encourage people of all skill level to attend.
"You don't have to be a die hard gamer to go," says co-organizer Gibran Graham. "It really is for people looking to have fun with their friends or family."
The event begins with a kick-off party called, "So you meet in a Tavern" on Friday, January 18th at the Bear Brew Pub in Orono.
The convention will take place at the Black Bear Inn in Orono starting Saturday, January 19th. Registration start at 8:00am and the games go from 9am until midnight.
Sunday's gaming will end at 6pm with an after Party and award ceremony taking place at Acme Pizza at 7pm.
