Hockey Stick Assault

3

Bangor - A Bangor man is under arrest, after police say he called them to report an assault.

Officers were called to the area of Acadia Place and Moosehead Boulevard around 12:45 p.m. Wednesday afternoon.

29-year old Christopher Stone called in the report.

Stone told a dispatcher he was attacked by two men and a woman at a home on Acadia Place. Stone claimed the argument was over a cell phone and the trio had knives and brass knuckles.

When officers caught up with Stone, he was reportedly carrying a hockey stick. Police also noted Stone did not have any injuries to back his claim.

After talking with several witnesses, police concluded Stone actually attacked a woman with the hockey stick, then ran inside the home of his ex-girlfriend, who had a protection order against him.

Stone is now facing numerous charges including assault.
