A couple of cars were destroyed along with a garage that burned in Lewiston.
Authorities say it started around noon Saturday.
The homeowner says he was jump-starting a Porsche in his garage when it backfired.
Authorities believe that's what sparked it.
The fire spread to the house, melting some of the siding.
A fire investigator says there's about $80,000 worth of damage.
