The Washington County Chief Deputy is out of a job.
That's according to Washington County Commission Chairman Chris Gardner.
Gardner tells TV 5 he can confirm Deputy Michael St. Louis was let go by Washington County Sheriff Donnie Smith.
The Chairman said "He was dismissed pursuant to the sheriff's authority according to statute."
Gardner declined further comment on the situation, but did say St. Louis was let go on Friday.
Smith has not returned any phone calls.
