Plymouth -
An accident in Plymouth left a vehicle overturned on frozen water this afternoon.
It happened on Route 7 when a car left the roadway, tipping over onto Plymouth Pond.
Luckily for the driver, the ice did not break.
Firefighters say when vehicles fall on frozen water, the results are often more tragic.
"It makes it more difficult because we've got to take it in a whole different direction of how we handle it," said Plymouth firefighter Ryan Hopkins.
The road was temporarily shut down while crews cleared the scene.
