Down East Community Hospital in Machias has welcomed its first baby of the new year.
Bentley Williams was born just before 9 Wednesday morning to Peter and Heather Williams. Her brother, Avery, also welcomed her arrival.
Bentley weighs in at 5 pounds 3 ounces.
A congratulatory gift basket from the staff and local businesses was presented to the family.
