Maine hosting Boston University in their conference opener tonight. Justin Edwards coming in as the America East Player of the Week, for the second straight week.
The sophomore standout sharing the basketball tonight. A nice pass to Ali Fraser on the baseline and he cashes in. Fraser led UMaine with 17 points tonight.
The Terriers actually had a six point lead with six minutes to go. Maurice Watson, Jr. goes back door for two.
But the Black Bears would fight back. A 16-5 run to end the game. Xavier Pollard with a jumper that eventually drops in. Pollard had 13 points tonight to help Maine win its conference opener, 63-58 the final.
The next game for the Black Bears will be Saturday at noon. We'll have that game against UMBC for you on TV5.
