Skowhegan -
A driver is lucky to be alive after he was thrown from his car in Skowhegan Monday night.
Police were called to Route 201 around 4:45 in the afternoon.
We're told the man, whose name is not being released, hit a patch of black ice.
His car went off the road and into a ditch.
Authorities say the driver was tossed from the vehicle, also landing in the ditch.
Amazingly enough, he only had minor injuries.
Police say the crash is still under investigation.
