UPDATE: One Dead After a Stabbing in Bangor
One person is dead after an early morning stabbing in Bangor.
Sgt. Paul Edwards said Bangor Police arrived on Elm Street around 2:30 am on Saturday morning after a report that a man had been stabbed.
Police discovered the victim at the scene and he was taken to Eastern Maine Medical Center, where he later died.
Edwards said the people involved in the case have been identified and they know each other, but no names have been released.
An autopsy will be completed by the Medical Examiner's Office to determine the cause and manner of death.
Bangor Police Department's Criminal Investigations Division and the Evidence response team are investigating the incident.
