Bangor -
There's a lot going on in downtown Bangor for New Years Eve.
You can start the day with a 5K run or walk in West Market Square.
At 4:15pm, the Mr. and Mrs. Paul Bunyan Contest kicks off. There will be events taking place throughout the evening and the winners will be announced at 10:30pm.
There will be music performances throughout the night, and at midnight, the ball will drop off of Paddy Murphy's roof.
There's also something different this year, a Downtown Countdown button. It's your passport to all of the fun.
Buttons are required to get in to some of the events, and they will get you discounts at some local stores.
