Couple Charged in Skowhegan Animal Cruelty Case

3

Skowhegan - A couple has been charged with animal cruelty in connection with the discovery of a small dog in Skowhegan that was so badly neglected that it had to be put down.

The poodle was found outside a mobile home park last month.

The dog, covered in its own waste, was taken to a veterinarian who concluded it suffered from chronic neglect, flea infestation and paralysis. The animal was euthanized the day it was found.

Police Chief Michael Emmons tells the Morning Sentinel, that Paul and Christina Laudieri, both 44, have been charged.

The chief says the couple previously lived in Skowhegan near where the dog was found. He says the Laudieris told police they left the dog in the hopes that someone would find and take care of it.

Brings tears to my eyes to think of the pain that poor dog endured just waiting for care and kindness
I can not put what I would like to happen to these two people down in words...
But I do believe in karma and you get what you give

And may the little one rest in peace knowing that it will no longer have to suffer
And be forever happy on the other side of the rainbow bridge

At the BARE minimum, they need to be tethered to a chain in the cold without food, water, shelter, or attention!!! If you dont want to keep the dog, there are shelters! Animals of all kinds trust us to care for them, if you are not willing to do that, then DO NOT have pets. What is wrong with people???
