Just one regular season game left but Derek Buttles is just one easy roster move away from being on an NFL roster for the first time.
The former UMaine tight end has been added to the practice squad roster of the Buffalo Bills.
Buttles went to camp with the team last summer, but he was still recovering from an ACL tear in his knee last fall.
The 6'5" 230 pounder was a second team all conference player his junior year. Buttles will wear number 88.
