Conservationist Roxanne Quimby is buying even more land next to Baxter State Park.
Quimby's land company is purchasing more than 8,000 acres in a township in Penobscot county.
Quimby already owns tens of thousands of acres of land next to Baxter State Park and has offered to give it to the federal government to form a national park.
