4,600 CMP Customers in Piscataquis Co. Scheduled to Lose Power

About 4,600 Central Maine Power customers in Piscataquis County are scheduled to lose their electricity for awhile overnight Thursday.

CMP crews are doing some emergency repair work to the equipment near the Monson substation.

They found the damage recently while doing some routine maintenance.

The outage is scheduled to begin at 11 p.m. Thursday, December 6th. Power is expected to be restored by 2 a.m. Friday, December 7th.

Customers in the following towns will be affected:

Beaver Cove, Big Moose Township, Blanchard, Cove Point Township, Elliottsville, Frenchtown Township, Greenville, Harfords Point Township, Kineo Township, Lily Bay Township, Monsoon, Moosehead Junction Township, Rockwood Strip Township, Sandbar Tract, Shirley, Taunton & Raynham Academy Grant, Tomhegan Township, and Willimantic.
