Traffic on Monroe Road in Winterport is down to one lane while emergency crews deal with a crash.
We're told an SUV and a car have crashed head-on.
A person who saw the crash happen tells TV 5 it sounded like an explosion.
Officials tell us two people were taken to hospitals but no other information has been released.
