Augusta -
Central Maine Power customers can sign up for a new optional service that can bring discounts for electricity used during off-peak hours.
The Public Utilities Commission says the "time of use" option is open to residential and small commercial customers. The enrollment period ends Jan. 31, 2013.
The "time of use" option features reduced off-peak prices that provide cost savings to customers for electricity used at night and on weekends.
