Hermon -
The town of Hermon is re-igniting old traditions this season.
The Lynde Masonic Lodge organized its first tree lighting on Sunday night. There hasn't been a tree lighting over the last few years, so the masons decided to revive the tradition.
Members want to continue to make the lodge a place for the community to come together.
"Years ago the lodge was a place where there were things happening and that's what we're looking for, being able to serve our fellow neighbors," said Audi Gould, Senior Warden at the Lynde Masonic Lodge.
The lodge was grateful to have two trees donated for this event: one from Piper Mountain and the other from Sprague's Nursery.
This sparked yet another new tradition. They planted one of the trees, so they could have it for many years to come.
