Small businesses stayed in the spotlight all weekend long.
An expo of local businesses was held in Bangor on Sunday. Participants ranged from wallet makers to jewelers.
Organizers encourage shoppers to buy locally before heading to the big box stores.
Owner of Absolute Beauty Salon, Sharon White said "Being a small business myself struggling, other small businesses struggling and try to get them some exposure, get their names out there, get them some customers and help build their business."
White hopes she can get more businesses involved in the expo next year.
