Peru -
One man was killed and another injured in a car crash Thursday morning near the Peru-Rumford town line.
Police say Jake Pomeroy of Dixfield, was driving on Route 108 around 1:30 a.m.
Police believe he hit a patch of black ice and lost control of his vehicle.
Pomeroy was not wearing his seat belt and was thrown out of the vehicle.
Police say a pickup truck tried to get out of the way of Pomeroy's vehicle and crashed.
The driver was taken to Rumford Hospital, where he was treated and released.
