Authorities looking for Maine's former top drug prosecutor, who disappeared after an appeals court upheld some of his convictions on child pornography charges, have searched the home of
his ex-wife.
James Cameron was convicted of having child porn and sentenced to sixteen years in prison.
The 50-year-old was free on bail pending an appeal.
Last week, an appeals court upheld some of the convictons against Cameron.
After the ruling, Cameron went to his ex-wife's home and told his son he was going back to jail, according to documents filed in federal court in Bangor.
The US Marshals Service says that same day, Cameron cut off his electronic monitoring device and disappeared.
Authorities say Cameron was last seen in Hallowell driving a tan Audi A6, with Maine license plate 2333Pl.
