Bangor -
One of Santa's helpers made a stop in Bangor, Wednesday.
A woman, who wishes to remain anonymous, came to the city's downtown on behalf of a group called the Bangor Elves.
For the last couple holiday seasons, they have visited each of the downtown shops to drop off donation jars.
In December, they will be back to pick them up and use whatever they've collected to help families in need.
"We have to help those people. There has to be something that we can do. There are people without, there are people without food, there are people without clothes. We have to help them somehow," said the group's Head Elf.
Last year, they raised almost $5,000 for local families.
