Over 1,000 meals are being sent out across the state to help those in need.
Solidarity Harvest and other local organizations came together to bag and ship Thanksgiving meals.
The organization is helping those struggling during hard economic times.
Volunteer, Penny Theriault said "It's a sense of community. Bringing people together, helping people that just need a little extra hand and to put the smile on people's faces even if it's just for one day. It's reaching out and our way of giving back."
The group shipped meals from Houlton to Eastport on Saturday and they will continue the shipments into next week.
