Brewer has a new city clerk.
Pam Ryan was officially appointed to the role on Friday.
She's taking over for Howard Kroll who has been clerk for nearly 5 years. Kroll is leaving for Auburn where he will be the assistant city manager.
Ryan has been deputy clerk for more than two decades.
" She's really been the anchor of the department, even while I was deployed to Iraq, so it's been well deserved and she'll do a great job," said Kroll.
" She knows all the answers that we would want a person stepping into the position to know," added Mayor Jerry Goss.
Kroll starts his job in Auburn on Monday.
