South Berrwick, Corinth -
One man is dead after an accident in Corinth Wednesday.
It happened around noon on Route 15, closing off the road for hours.
Jason Cynewski, 25, of South Berwick, died in the accident.
We're told his car crossed into oncoming traffic and struck the truck head-on.
"We do have one deceased in the vehicle that struck the oil truck. Both occupants of the oil truck have been transported to the hospital with minor injures. Still under investigation at the time. We do have DEP here helping us with the clean-up," said Penobscot County Chief Deputy, Troy Morton.
Some of the truck's diesel fuel leaked out.
We're told none of the oil it was delivering spilled.
Randall McKewen, 45, of Corinna, and Jennifer Sweat, 39, of Dover-Foxcroft, were taken to Eastern Maine Medical Center with minor injuries.
They have both been released from the hospital.
State police are investigating.
