Bangor -
Vendors for the Maine Harvest Festival are set up the Bangor Civic Center and Auditorium for the weekend. Food and goods from local farmers, producers, and crafters are all on hand.
Organizers said the experience of meeting local farmers and distributors is worth the price of admission.
On Saturday, there was a live cooking demonstration and Senator Susan Collins event tried her hand at it She said "We made a delicious sour cream blueberry coffee cake, which of course, was made with wild Maine blueberries, the best kind for cooking, for eating, for snacking. It was a lot of fun."
TV 5's own Todd Simcox also took part in the cooking events. The festival continues on Sunday from 10 am to 4 pm.
