Newport -
Boy Scout Troop 63 of Newport will be braving the cold temperatures this weekend in hopes of bringing thanksgiving dinner to those in need.
The scouts will be living in tents in front of bud's shop and save off of route 2 and 100 in Newport.
They’re collecting non-perishable food items that will go to the Newport community food bank.
The bank serves Newport and surrounding areas.
This is the third year for camping for food.
Last year the scouts collected nearly 4-thousand pounds of food and 2-thousand-3-hundred dollars for the cause.
They hope to top last year's totals.
