Fire destroyed a home in Ellsworth on Thursday.
Several area fire departments responded to the single family home on Stackpole Way.
The homeowners reported the fire around 2:30 in the afternoon.
Nobody was inside the two story wooden structure when the fire began, but the family's pets were.
They are unaccounted for.
Firefighters from Ellsworth, Lamoine, Surry, Trenton, and others were on the scene for several hours.
No word yet on what sparked it.
