Maine law enforcement officials are heading south to help with security efforts in storm-battered New Jersey.
A team of troops and Cumberland County sheriff's deputies are assisting law enforcement agencies in areas of New Jersey that were affected by Hurricane Sandy.
They'll stay there for the next 8 days. Two of the troopers used to live in Jersey and two of the deputies served in Louisiana after Hurricane Katrina.
