Brewer -
It was a toe tapping good time at Jeff's Catering in Brewer on Thursday night.
The 4th Annual Big Band Dinner Dance was held to raise money for the Hammond Street Senior Center.
The 17-piece Queen City Big Band, lead by director Brian Nadeau, entertained the capacity crowd.
Organizers say the money raised from Thursday's event will go a long way.
One donor, Granville Stone and Hearth, helped double the size of the dance floor with their financial contribution, anticipating the large turnout.
"This is our biggest fundraiser of the year and it has brought in close to twenty-thousand dollars, including the sponsorships, so it has a huge impact on the senior center," said Kathy Bernier, executive director of the Hammond Street Senior Center.
