Indian Island, Bangor -
A man from Indian Island man accused of breaking into a house and sexually assaulting a woman was indicted by the Penobscot County Grand Jury Wednesday.
Bangor police 32-year-old Shane Sapiel forced his way into a woman's apartment on Hammond Street last month.
The victim said he assaulted her with a knife and then sexually assaulted her.
Sapiel has a lengthy criminal record, including a domestic violence case in May.
Sapiel was indicted on charges of gross sexual assault and aggravated assault.
